Why Did We Move?

We begin by listening.

After Beloved 2019, we received over a thousand pieces of written feedback.

We read every single one.

We heard overwhelmingly that you want a Beloved experience that:

  • Allows for ease of entrance and exit.
  • Is smaller, deeper, and more intimate.
  • Is accessible to community members with mobility challenges and disabilities.
  • Has spacious campgrounds.
  • Accounts for the safety of the entire community.

Our new venue is a spacious, level forested meadow nestled between the east side of the Mohawk River and the surrounding foothills of the Cascades near Marcola, Oregon.

Camping & Parking

The right-sized home means the land and the gathering work in synergy that supports both. This location allows for ample parking and the ability to access your vehicle.

Plenty of flat camping space graces the land where your tent won't be miles from your car.

We will be updating this page with details as they become available. Check back and follow us on Instagram and Facebook for announcements.

Due to the limited size of our site, all campsites are expected to be modestly sized. We encourage the creation of group camps where one living/kitchen area is shared among several participants, get to know each other, and create community!

Camp Host Stations will be located throughout the site. Our Camp Hosts will be available to assist your parking and arrival as well as maintain enough camping space for all. Camp Host Stations will be where handcart check-out is located and will be your source for festival information. Handcarts are available to assist with gear transportation, but you are responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading your own belongings.

PLEASE NOTE: Vehicles over 20’ are considered oversized. This includes vehicles towing trailers where the total length of vehicle plus trailer is over 20′. Vehicles over 32’ will not be permitted onto the festival grounds under any circumstances. Oversized vehicles MUST purchase an Oversized Vehicle pass.

Shuttle & Carpool

If you are NOT driving to the event, you DO NOT NEED to purchase a parking pass. There are, of course, a multitude of ways for you to arrange transportation to the festival.

Shuttle

Beloved Festival is pleased to offer a biodiesel shuttle service in partnership with ecoShuttle. There are shuttles departing on both Thursday and Friday from a central Portland location easily accessible by public transit where you will safely be able to leave your car for the weekend. Return trips are available on Sunday and Monday. Please see our ticket page to purchase shuttle tickets.

You will bypass the Welcome Center, receive your wristband on the shuttle, and get dropped off at a Camp Host Station where you’ll get up-to-date information on available campsites.

Be prepared to personally transport your gear from the shuttle stop to your camp location. Pack light and combine as many items as possible. In this way, you can take responsibility for the ease of your arrival and departure. Handcarts will be available to assist with gear transportation but you are responsible for loading, transporting and unloading your own belongings.

Carpool

Please check out our rideboard, to help facilitate a smooth carpooling experience. You can both look for or provide a ride on the rideboard.

What To Bring

In the weeks leading up to the gathering, consider taking the time to create a personalized packing list so that you can be sure to remember everything that you need to nurture a safe, fun and transformative experience.

Having the right supplies, equipment, and attitude will ensure that you make the most of your weekend. In addition to careful thought about what to bring and what not to bring, you can prepare for the event by working on your own practices and by cultivating an awareness that everyone you meet is a reflection of the beloved.

Should any event need to be postponed, any tickets purchased may be exchanged for tickets to future Beloved events. All sales are final. No refunds. Events will be held rain or shine. Artists and schedules subject to change.
